The ClariVein® Method: Sclerosing Veins Without Anaesthesia
The ClariVein® method is an alternative method for treating varicose veins in which a tiny catheter is inserted into the diseased vein through a normal peripheral venous catheter.
Alternative method – minor procedure
During this minor procedure, a rotating wire (3000U/min) irritates the vein wall while an obliteration drug is administered. No anaesthesia is required for this method - not even local anaesthesia. The patient will only require a plaster at the puncture site.
Costs
Insurance coverage should be verified before the procedure is carried out. Our practice also has a contract with AOK Sachsen-Anhalt for this method.
